day 3 in playa and day 2 doings
nick says: as soon as we both woke up this morning, we were on the road. As we were on our way to coba, Papa wasn´t paying attention to the road for a couple of minutes and we hit a sleeping policeman(their version of a speed bump) at 40 km/h and went flying. After that he was paying much more attention than he was. Once we arrived at Coba we took a tour up the trail to the big pyrimid lead by our tourguide Hercules. He was very helpful in filling us in on the Myan history. Once we got to the big pyrimid, we climbed it to the top. There was an excellent view and we got plenty of pictures. Once we finally decended, we made our way back down the rocky, dirt path. When we got to our rent-a-car, we had some troubles and Papa will tell you about that. That´s all from me bye.
papa says: okay so i left the lights on after we got out of the car att Coba, but we lucked out as the local amigos came to the rescue and pushed our car into position to be jump started. And, then we got rolling and didn´t want to turn the engine off for a while -- at least till we got to the gRAND cENOTE WHERE WE WENT SNORKLING IN THE CAVE WITH LITTLE FISH. Ooops. then we went and found a quiet beach and azule water and took in the scenry -- papa went for a swim and nick kept his eye on the girls. after that we hit Mega grocery store for our second trip for kitchen food. tonite we ate at a local (real local!) restaurant or open front building that was so hot it felt likew an oven.
yesterday, we went to the beach and explored 5th avenue (like our boardwalk) and picked up our rental car. we also enjoyed a brief downpour. okay, that´s all for now. A lot more has happened but that´s all we can think of.
ciao, adios, etc and much love
nick and papa!

Hi Guys,
Sounds like you two are having quite an adventure! We can't wait to hear about today's escapades! I told the Harmon's about your blog and they might blog you...Nick, you and Chris may have fun blogging back and forth! Daddy had off today so we could go to the orthodontist consult...braces are not absolutely necessary but could help Adam's overcrowding. $$$$ Never a dull moment! Talk to you soon!
xoxox mucho amore, mom, dad and adam
Nick,
I had Mr. Steve check out Hermana's phone number through his work at NSA (national security agency)because it sounnded fishy to him and his people in Mexico checked it out and it seems legitimate but he recommended not using it for security reasons. Also I thought you may want to blog or email some of your friends in LA class. I could contact Mr. McElwain if you want me to. He might give them class time to do it as an LA project. Let me know if you want me to. Love, Mom
Hi Guys,
It's Tues. afternoon and my "ittle buddy" is sound asleep. He had a great morning "going potty". He performed for KT before she left the house this morning and got 2 M&M's and a mini Reese's cup. After breakfast he grabbed his bag of candy and headed to his potty, yelling "Hurry DoeDoe". After a quick strip of his clothes he sat down and within 30 seconds yelled "I DID IT". He actually filled quite a bit of his potty. Way to go Shea! He did another trip after lunch. He was successful in the tinkle dept, but missed the potty. (poor aim/lack of getting dinky in hole). The wet floor and socks bothered him a lot, but it still counted for candy. After I got a new diaper and pants on him, he announced "go poop", so off came the clothes again. No success, but at least he tried. Needless to say I spent most of my morning in the powder room. I can see it will be a long spring. Can't wait for "PaPa to be here to share in the potty duties. When I heard about your day yesterday and how warm it is there, I was envious. I have been cold for months and can't wait to see some sun. In fact I even bought a pair of Toasty Toes inserts for my shoes to keep my feet warm. I'm anxious to hear about today's adventures. Hopefully you two will find lots of cool things to do. I know it's super expensive, but swmimming with the dolphins was certainly one of the coolest things I have ever done in my life. If you do it, remember to hold on firmly from the "get go". They are really beautiful, but powerful creatures. Be Happy and Be Safe,
Love, Jo
