After Dinner

Had an interesting dinner with part of our group and American exchange student who is here studying for his junior year in high school. He is here as part of a Rotary Club exchange student program and loves his experience of living away from home for a year with a local family. He said he even joined up with some new friends and created a local band with two gigs a week. This world is much smaller and is so much more connected than we think it is. Tomorrow a flight back to Lima for the day and the next day a flight out to Quito, Ecuador and the Galapagos. I will miss these dramatic mountains and the ancient life that they hold on too. Two guys played for us tonight at dinner -- one on a guitar and the other fellow on flute. They were stunning and Peruveanly good. I bought their CD. Okay, bye for now!
Ciao

Dinner and music. That's even better! Be safe on your journey tomorrow. I'll be thinking about you.
Love, Jo

To JOHN's OTHERS out there! John just called (Thurs. eve. about 10:45). We couldn't figure out why he wasn't getting all of my e-mails. I finally realized that I had the computer in his office turned on and any e-mails sent to him while it was turned on went there. I just finished forwarding about 40 e-mails to him. I know a few were from Betty, Ginny and Richard. (Don't worry, I didn't take the time to read them - I was too busy dealing w/technical deficiencies of my brain). Anyway, the next time he opens up his e-mail he'll be swamped with ones from others. Thanks for writing to him. HIs office computer is now turned off indefinitely. (Betty - you are not alone!)

Hi John,
I've lost touch with your blogging this week because Stu has been doing some kind of "secret Christmas Shopping" online. I don't know what he is up to. I'll catch up this weekend, hopefully. The girls are doing well. Alyssa's first birthday party went well, as you heard. Now that she's officially one, she is crazier than before! They keep me going! Anyway - safe travels this weekend, and I look forward to hearing about the rest of your travels! (And... I'll get Stu off of his Christmas shopping and reading the blog too!)
Love,
Karin
